Exercise Two: Claudia

Exercise One - Amanda Compagnone

Amanda Compagnone

In the next ten years I see myself designing mobile housing units out of un-recyclable materials for victims of war and natural disasters. I could also see myself bailing out on architectural design all together and becoming and chef... or food designer.

Ten years from now I will be 32. It is hard to tell the future, but I am going to tell how I want it to be.  In ten years I want to find my career passion, probably become an architect.  Number one issue for me is protecting the environment. In future I want to be engaged in large projects. My dream is to build something that would be wold recognized, like a CN Tower for example; but it will be known as a symbol of a our new age - age of protecting and restoring our land.

Exercise one: Karen Lee

yewon Karen Lee After 10 years, what would I become?
It’s very hard question for me since I’m still on the stage where I look for the interest and find out what I’m good at. Also I don’t want to limit my future career now. However, if I find out the definite interest within in Environmental design, I would love to become an interior designer who uses talent to enrich others’ lives. First of all, 10 years later, I would already graduate from OCAD and got Bachelor of Design. Also after 10 years, I will have good knowledge and skills. I want to use this knowledge and skills all over the world starting from Canada and South Korea (where I was born in). I wish my work from 10 years later can deliver happiness and pleasure to people all around the world. More over, I believe in the far future I can earn a sense of empowerment and gain power to make a difference in the world.

Exercise One: Claudia

It's really difficult for me to tell where I will be in ten years. Hopefully I will have finished my master's degree (!) in Architecture and should be well on my way to become a great architect. But to be honest, I have no idea where I will be in or what I will be doing in 10 years from now. One thing for sure is that within 10 years from now, I will have travelled many different countries, experienced and met a lot of new people. As of now my interests are very broad but particualrly I am interested in sustainable architecture and architecture for humanity. I also would like to get invovled and work for "Design for the other 90%". (Check this website for more information on "Design for the other 90%" http://other90.cooperhewitt.org/)

What I want to be in next 10 years? I’d love to be an Architect, whom every body talks or writes about the projects which I designed. I want to be the one who brings new and unique ideas to the architectural and design industry. I could see myself traveling around the world and design and create my own masterpiece. I just don’t like to be called a simple architect; I want to be a professional designer whom everyone is looking forward to work with. STAY TUNED…

Exercise Two: Anahita Kiani

Nicol Berinstein
To be honest I have no idea where I'll be in ten years. If I'm lucky, by then, I'll have figured out what I love to do and be successful in it. What interests me now are the principles of sustainability and universal design. I hope to one day be able to work in developing nations creating relief or permanent housing using readily available and indigenous materials.

Exercise One: Michael

In 10 years, I see myself completing the Environmental Design program at Ocad University. Hopefully be enrolled in a Master’s program for architecture or maybe not? There are many roles and positions in the architectural industries that don’t require becoming an architect. But, I do know I want to go into interior, sustainable, environmental, ecological designs, anything that is green architecture. I don’t know where that will be, but the economy is growing in that direction.

Exercise One: "Ho Been"

Judging by my ability of foretelling my future, I have no comment in me. All I can say is that I am not a psychic who can read his future or destiny. What also I can say is that from my childhood I grew fond of unusual objects, roads, interior and places around the world. By looking at every different objects I was attracted by it and always wanted to imitate or surpass theirs.
In the next ten years I'm planning to finish my degree at OCAD, work with various designers and firms, get Master in Architecture and launch my project (firm) while in Canada (or not) before moving out. I also look forward into travelling various places and give my role as a designer. By concentrating on my interests, combined with curiosity from every different environments will put me where I wanted to be.

Exercise One: Tiffany Huta

I would love to say that I could predict the future but as I have come to realize I do not have these talents. Hopefully, ten years from now I will have my head on the shoulders and know exactly what I want to do with my life. I am for sure going to travel places and see beautiful things. Also , hopefully be able have enough money under my belt to live a worry free life and i guess just live life to fullest.

Exercise One-Anahita Kiani

When I look at ten years later I see myself as an interior designer and architect. I believe that the world of design is very huge and there is a lot of ideas and beauties that we can get from nature and use them in our designs. When I walk in the buildings or rooms I always think that how they could be done in the other different ways. I think that a beautiful design can stay forever and generations after generations can be amazed by them.
